700 srx

Trying to fix a srx pops at full throtel not sure what to cheak next carbs are clean and power valves are clean but not sure if they are opening what next help

you can confirm the operation of the power valve servo motor by removing the three phillips screws from the cover, and idling the engine down below 900 rpm. the servo should activate.

also, check your plug caps and coils. you may even want to look at the reeds.

We have checked all that the servo motor tries to turn on start up then hesataes with operating the throtel will not move more than 1\4 of a turn in any direction is it the servo motor I should replace it a 500$ chance

have you checked the wiring? did one awhile back and there was a rub through on some wires causing the servo to short out.

found the rub near the cdi box's main wire loom where the steering hoop meets the fuel tank. the srx's were also prone to rubs on the harness going under the engine on the recoil side.

any other electrical components asting funny like the tach or lights?

no all the guages are wroking fine it was in for a wiring prob a few years ago they fixed where it was rubbed then it has been parked since then he and i are down to the motor is all we have left to change
