I took my truck, 06 F350 diesel, in to Ford for an oil leak on the engine. They phoned me this morning and told me it was the Bed Plate gasket leaking. They wil have to pull the cab off and the motor out to replace the gasket. Any one else run into this problem. I still have warranty, 140,000K so it won't hurt as much.

had this done to my 05 twice. Got rid of it at 100000km so I dont know how its doing now, but after the second time I put another 30000 leak free/ problem free km's on it.

I just got back from the dealer and they were just putting the top end back together and had the bottom end all done. The cab did not have to come off. Just the whole front end. They are charging me an hour labour to remove and re-install the driving lights I put on. Ford has a way of charging a lot to make themselves $$$. They had phoned me yesterday to up sell, brake flush, tranny flush, change oil in front and rear diff, fuel filters and air filter. They are re-imbursing me for the cost of the oil change I had just done last week. Apparantly Ford will pay you if you have less than 500K on the oil change with proof of the oil change. So far looking good. May have the truck back tonight.
