Well today is the 40th anniversary of the net. Wasn't running like it is today but all the technology was born!
Just think of all the changes we seen in the last few short years!! :d

Yip...come along way...when I first started the communications company I work for had a 1.54Mbps pipe (about the size of your home DSL...before DSL) to our downstream provider out of Calgary to Palo Alto CA.

Now we peer to more the 50 other providers across the US and abroad at no less the 1000Mbps (1 Gbps)...usually 10000Mbps (10 Gbps) and have just turned up our first of many 40 Gbps links with 100 Gbps on the horizon.

Yip....its come a long way. :d:d:d:d
