2015 rmk tss(throttle return switch)

Riding last week My engine would keep shutting down and throwing an engine light. Took the sled in got is scanned and this code came up. Throttle return switch. Dealer is closed till the 5th or something and I would like to ride this weekend. Can I take the switch out and tape/zap strap it closed?

I think you can disconnect it altogether and ride it.
