Where's a good place to stay in Valemount? Is the Best western any good?

Yes, but limited to trailer length, if you have a long rig you might have to park on the west side between restaurant and highway

Heading up next weekend leaving thurs or Friday. Room for 2 more in the trailer leaving from Edmonton if interested. Forecast doesn't look too promising but hopefully changes.

We have stayed at the Best Western the last few trips and have been really happy with it.

Awesome food and staff.

Pool is really warm @ 94 and hot tub @ 104.

Lots of parking and 1 area is very secure with locked gate.

Spacious rooms.

Can't go wrong with summit river lodge. Great people. Great food. It's like home away from home.

How's the snow this weekend. Heading up next Thursday bring a few newbies with us. Is the trails holding up or should we bring decks as it sit right now will be using the enclosed trailer. Was think of taking the newbies to Allen in Friday morning if I remember correctly this should be the best spot to take them and let them get a feel for things. Unless someone think differently. Please share your input. Don't want to scare the old lady off from the sport as if will be her first time.

Had an awesome day up Allen. You had to search a bit to find untouched, we found lots of areas with no tracks. Went as far as we could go, I think.

Had an unreal weekend in Valemout/Blue River Area again this weekend! Snow may not have been the deepest but the blue skies and beautiful weather made for some pretty good photos!

Thanks to Jaden Thiessen for sharing this photo from yesterday at Chappell Creek. Sounds like Chappell Creek and the backside of Allen did well from the short storm Saturday night. Up to 25cms of freshies in Chappell yesterday and two riders....what? Get it while you can.

TPower and I are going to inspect this first hand just to be sure!

Yeah we rode Chappell yesterday and it was coming down hard all day. Should be a fair bit of fresh lying around up there for whomever has a Monday off to go wreck it all.

Well The Frozen Pirate and myself went surfing some incredible fresh powder today at Chapple .
Boys winter isn't gone yet , this is what we found today .

We had heard some talk of snowfall out at Chappell so we had to go have a look for ourselves! 30cms of new snow and great conditions.
The trails are holding up great, with full coverage from the staging areas. Sounds like Allen and Chappell both got hit nicely from precip over Sat/Sun.

Only 8 people on the trail since the last groom...get out there!
