I have a 2013 that I have done a few mods to and on the last 2 rides I haven't been hitting my max rpm range. I ride from 2500 to approx. 6000ft.

I have a c3 belt drive with 2.52 ratio, mtn tek drop in kit with their head. I just put the 2016 axys 2.6 track on it with the stock 8 tooth drivers, HPS can, kurts clutch kit with Polaris 10-64 weights.

The last ride was approx. 4500ft maybe a bit higher. I was only hitting and holding 7850-7900rpm. It would spike to approx. 8000 and sit at 7900.

I was running 66 gram weights in my 2012 down low and 64 up high with it almost stock and always hit 8200 plus.

What are guys running normally? I am gonna have to run 60-62 gr. for 4000-6000 and that seems light.

I put 64s in my sled, bone stock 14 163 first ride of the season yesterday at lucille. Was pulling good at around 8150.

I used to have 62s, last year went out to the darby and it pulled like sh*t and over revved

This sounds almost identical to an issue I was having with my 13 with an slp kit in it, I was playing with weight last season after putting in new springs and having the clutches serviced. I spoke with a local machanic in town who suggested cleaning out the exhaust valves and I did and it was much better and would hold rpm. They are supposed to be serviced yearly I was told. This may or may not help but I thought it would be worth mentioning. Good luck.

Just had the mtn tek drop in kit put in and cleaned the exhaust valves. I will try 62 gram weights but feel that with the mods done to the sled it should pull 64 gram weights easily at 4500-6000 ft. The manual shows with stock clutching running 62 from 6000-8000. We were at approx 6000 or so. Im a heavier rider so that will make a difference, which is why i geared it so low 2.52. Might be other issues or maybe the rings havent fully seated yet. Have about 120miles on it. I may have sold the sled just waiting to hear back. Might buy an axys!

was installed by a Polaris mechanic that owned the sled in grande prarie. I took it apart to check the ring gaps because he just put them in without checking the gaps properly. I redid the top end when I found them too tight according to mtn tek.

You may want to try a new primary spring, like the slp blue pink or even a new stock spring may help. You should be able to pull 8250-8300 with 10-64s at the elevation you are running no prob, I have that same pro with fix kit and pull 8250 all day. If your running anything other than the polaris 115 belt that could cause an rpm drop as well, I tried the Carlisle xs-809 and lost 150-200 rpm.
