2011 renegade sport 550f

We were out riding last week and my kids 550f began going into reverse by itself. Cruising along and all by itself the sled would stop and pop into reverse? Even worse as soon as you gave it some throttle in reverse it would pop into forward again. Had to shut it off, restart go about 50 yards and wham, reverse again, good thing we were close to the trailer. Has anyone else had problems with the RER? I'm thinking maybe it was wet? shorting out? One guy said maybe it was overheating? Let it sit for an hour, went back out and it ran fine for another 3 hours. I don't trust this damn thing, it's going to leave the kids stranded. Should I replace the switch, any suggestions? thanks

switch got wet inside, happened to my wife's 550F too. if you click the highbeam switch to low it will stop....click it back to high beam and it would start to do the rev-forward thing again. dried it out with a hairdryer and it was fine.
