I have a 09 XP 154. Talked to the guys at Spec. sleds and they were doing some clutch testing. Doesn't sound like anything to drastic.. Other ppls thoughts are keep them clean and your belt properly adjusted, just like you should with any clutch set-up. So far so good apperantly.:cool:

I like the clutching on mine, All I did was clean the clutches and pulled the set screws out. I'm not doing anything else to it, for now:d

Caper11, what kind of rpms were you pulling. I had mine on clicker 5 to 8000 rpm. Suspect somethings wrong, either dpm of clutching.Same sled.

Depends on the snow, Usually on clicker 3 or 4 pulling 8200.

Mine is on clicker 5 and all i can get is 8000 rpm out of it at valemount.Down here on clicker 5 I can pull 8200.But my track speed on a climb is awsome 45 to 47 mph.I did have a problem right at the start with the DPM solenoid was stuck and all I could get was 7800 rpm around edmonton.Once that was fixed I could get 8000 rpm on clicker 4 around edmonton.Still 200 shy of what it should be.

What do you mean pulled set screws out? thanks

The TRA uses a Threaded pin at the end of the arms there are three arms. with a setscrew threaded into it, you can change the length of the setscrew thus changing the flyweight and changing the max rpm of the sled.
For example the 09 came with a 1/2 long setscrew, i was running 8200 on clicker 5, I wanted some adjustabliity so I took my clutch apart and removed the setscrew lightning the flyweight and being able to run clicker 3 or 4 depending on the conditions.

has anybody tried going to the 130 or160-350 spring? i am thinking a guy could do that and still leave the set screws in and you might be closer to the required rpm in clicker 3 with way lower engagement.just a thought but trying to get info on what works is like dealing with doo on their recoils,we need some facts!

Hey doesn't seem like to many people are doing alot, or willing to share it at this point. For mine I've pulled the set screws, cleaned it up, and on clicker 4 in about 2 feet of powder its pulling 8200 RPM, with 45MPH track speed.
