09/10 compression. what are you finding after a rebuild.....

after you guys have done your fix kits or did a fresh top end what are you seeing for compression after the first ride?? i am in the 122 125 area.

alright thanks. pulled the plugs on the old 98 summit x to do a test and shes 160 both sides, but then again it doesnt ever make a season.

so my question now is, why do we run 91 octane in a low compression engineÉ is it neccesary........ it should run better on 89 then 91 if thats the case. or is that border line hi compression...

I think the elevation has a lot to do with compression , I'm in cold lake at 1780 ft and I get 118 both sides cold and about 117 both sides hot that's on the 09 d8 after the update about 1000km on it . I read somewhere that the compression drops 3% every 1000ft in elevation from sea level. Just my 2cents, I'm gonna rebuild with the fix kit this summer so I'll post my results later .
