Hello,
i,m a long time member of the board, and came to Sun Peaks on holiday with my family from Victoria. I went out on a trail ride from the resort and followed the clubs trail network. The snow is very deep, with no base. I end up burning up two belts and had to leave the sled and walk out...
That is awesome news, I remember when it happened and what a pain in the ass it was. Sorry to here the trailer is not with it, but if i remember the sled was uninsured so this will help offset what you are out of pocket for the new sled you picked up to replace it.
I have an 03 S/C RX1 with MPI Cromemoly skid parts extended to 162X16. The front is stock A-arms with Works shocks and Simon's Gen 2 powders skis. The sway bar is long gone and I have lightened up everything that can be taken off. The sled is a beast to turn at slow speeds and a handful on the...
Was up to Mt Hall today for a kids ride. 1/2 metre of fresh, and most of the stumps are now covered. Unloaded at the splicing shack with deep snow on the road all the way to the cabin.
I had an 03 800 and had it rebuilt three times in three years. Low end price was $1600, high end was $2000 (big bearing crank and case mod). I sold it after the last repair and have not looked back. Loved the sled, hated the lack of reliability. I don't think those motors are worth putting...
I just got a SC oil change kit from E&S. I was $99 plus shipping and handling. I ordered yesterday and got its today in Victoria. Service was great and price is better than the "after brokerage" price from MPI.
I use ice climbing gloves, they are thin, waterproof and breath. They are designed for flexibility and mobility and have a formed palm that does not bunch up. Most have goat skin palms and wear very well.
I have an 03 RX1 SC that is almost gas and go as long as I keep it out of the trees. I ride everything my buddies ride and don't get stuck any more than they do. Yes it is heavy when stuck, but I'm not putting a motor in it every second year and I have pulled out at least one of every brand...
Russell and I were up about 8 days ago. Conditions were poor. Snow was very wet with no base, None of the stumps or big rocks were covered and temp was well above zero. There has been no snow in the last week but the temp has been below zero for the week. I won't make the trip back up again...
Great thank you for the info. Mine is a ten pound spring and I was making about 13 PSI before I installed the BOV. Now my BOV seems to open before the boast reaches 10 lbs, its opening completely, just partially. I spoke to Matt at MPI on Friday and he indicated that the valve may require a...
