I borrowed a buddy’s Rino on the weekend and in the course of doing some acrobatics over the handlebars I broke the screen on it. I wanna send it away somewhere and get it fixed for the guy, where can you send them to have the screen replaced?
Ended up smashing my bars on the weekend and the only dealer in town didn’t have stock stuff so I wound up buying a set of CFR boondocker 2.0 bars and a knucks riser, now that’s got me thinking I’d like to clean the bars up some and maybe relocate the warmer switches and the reverse/kill...
For the guys running the new style clutches are they just a bolt on and go or are there other things that need to be done too? And where’s the best place to buy em? Aftermarket supplier or just stroll down to the local cat store?
Also, is it worthwhile to swap out to the 36” front end or is...
What are some of the simple/small tweaks that everyone likes doing to their machines. Post your favorite mods here!
Edit: specific sled is a 2015 153/2.6” machine stretched to a 162/3” with challenger track. 7 tooth drivers and 21/49 gearing. Only other add ons are dalton adjustable weights and...
Well, thanks to a nice fellow rider on here I’ve traded my 8 tooth drivers for a set of 7 tooth avid drivers, I’ve got the 162X3” setup now so just waiting on the mail to arrive next week, and I’ve got new 21/49 gears and a hyvo chain to put in. I don’t want to stretch the tunnel so I’ll most...
Hey everyone,
I’ve got a 2015 Kincaid edition with a 153X2.6” factory setup and I’ve found a guy who wants to trade skids straight across and give me his 162 skid setup with a 3” challenger track. I’m just looking for any advice from people who’ve done it...
Will the 3” fit without changing...
Does a guy need to change anything else or just the gearing? I've seen some people claim it helps the clutches stay a little cooler and might give a guy a bit more belt life.
What does a guy gain by changing the gearing in these sleds? Is it gonna affect me at all when I'm flatland ditch banging at home? Clutch and weight changes required? I have dalton adjustable weights and a can, otherwise bone stock '15 Kincaid edition.
Thank you! I thought I was on glue when I was trying to dial mine in, I'm running way lighter than the chart in the sled would tell me to get proper rpms, I was beginning to think I was having clutch issues or something.
Hey guys, thanks for the replies, I found one on ebay in Edmonton, less than 900 shipping included brand new still in the box, looking forward to it getting here. When I took the sled to the dealer they diagnosed it after I had failed and they fixed the wiring harness so it should be as simple...
Hey, guys, thanks for all the help, I found a really good deal on a brand new one still in the box on ebay so I'm looked after. Absolutely amazing what typing a part number into google can find you.
So apparently the wiring harness under my fuel tank rubbed through on to the tunnel and shorted, causing my ECU to melt in my 2010 M8. I would really rather not spend 2 grand on a new one from cat, so what I'm looking for is a parts sled, or a sled wrecker or something along those lines.
If...
Is there such a thing as a sled "wrecker" out there? I need an ECU for my arctic cat and really would rather not pay full price from them so I am looking for other options. Or if anyone has a trashed 800 H.O. let me know.
Thanks
Thinking of making a trip somewhere at the end of march/start of april, just wondering if there's anywhere that's usually a good bet for some snow around that time of year?
We're not looking for any crazy riding or anything, just casual with some nice snow to bomb around in. Let me know if you...
Alright, I admit, this is a totally amateur question but I had trouble with my power valve servo motor this weekend and I have that replaced, and everything seems good. The sled starts and idles just like it should, and doesn't throw a code anymore.
I was told to check the voltage regulator...
Mine is actually doing the same thing right now, the servomotor crapped out this weekend in revelstoke, which lead to my gauges and everything not working and some smoke from the computer. We ended up limping it back down, so I ripped the sled all apart today, changed the clutch side power valve...
According to the chart under my hood peak rpm is 8300, I have been having trouble with mine when I run with the recommended weights at home, they say 71g for the elevation here. I've got just over 69g in it in my cutler adjustable weights and it still doesn't open up like it should, I'm getting...
Ok, here's the deal, I have a 2010 M8 sno pro, the stock fox float shock sucked, I think we can all agree on that one. I sent that original float away to nextech and had the burandt kit done in it but its still no good, I am going to have to send it back to them but in the mean time I want to...
The weather looks good for tomorrow and we have a bit of fresh snow, we have a trail marked out about 45-50 miles long with a few spots along the way that will make for some good playing. Everything is set up and ready to go and it looks like we have some pretty nice prizes for a few lucky...
Hey everyone, our Lions Club is putting on a poker rally again this year on the 9th of March. Registration is from 10-2 at the Dodsland hall, $20/hand or 3/$30, same pricing for ghost hands.
We will provide lunch at one of our check stops and supper afterward, there will be a bar as well...
