If you slowly push the kick starter until you go down through compression and return to top dead center then let your kick starter right to the top and kick hard you'll have better success.
Brian, If another inch or so is all you want often times you can find something off another application that will work, like the dirt bike one you have. Heck I used one off of my neighbors sons BMX pedal bike before and it fit just fine. Well worth the toonie I paid the kid;)
My family has 4 05 900's and we have not had a single problem with any of them other then they are a little like me...kinda heavy:rolleyes: If you do decide to get it however make sure you run the most expensive Polaris belt as they will still eat the 1080's. It's like $200 but well worth it...
