Renshaw today. No base at all so plenty of carnage on the hill today. Turbos got a work out and tanks were empty by 2pm. Trail surprising held up great with minimal whoops on the way down. Mind you we came down early due to running on fumes.
Agreed! I've also often wondered, we all wear our $1000.00 Avy packs, but I'm not all that sure that while being chased down the mountain by an Avy and trying to maneuver my sled out of danger. Would I even remember to grab the ripcord or would I be too focused on trying to steer clear of the...
Cross your fingers that you didn't buy a ticking time-bomb. Mind you, your Dragon was a ticking time-bomb too. Neither of the two engines are known for reliability. However, if the engine holds together, you made the right move. The only thing you are going to miss from the polaris is the...
Pro's
Once tuned and properly setup you won't go back because it is way too much fun wheeling up the hill past the stockers
Cons
Need to send ECM to doo racing to move rev limiter because the twins run sweet 8500-8700rpm
The extra rpms are probably not going to help the already weak cranks
They...
Thanks Slomo and pipes! If plans change I will let you know. Steve from Adrenaline tours contacted me and he will bring it to Edmonton on Friday. Huge thanks to Steve and the people he wrestles into helping him get it up onto his sled deck. Thanks again, very much appreciated!
Me too! Wrecked the sprag on my recoil, Clint and his dad (I think) fixed me up with a new one and a warm place to install it. Met up with him at the Griz later that evening, had a few drinks and a lot of laughs! Thanks for the help. And Clint if you're reading this, Keep on Shampooing Brother!
Spent this past weekend riding crazy deep powder. The conditions were so good that we decided to stay and ride Monday. Headed up to Bell and rode most of the day, ended up playing down in the ravine in front of the cabin. Took out a crank bearing on my XP and spent 3hrs trying to get it out. Ha...
I have the Crankshop twins on my 08 xp, it has a Bikeman 13.5:1 head and Trygstad Porting. On the Dyno the twins made 7Hp more than the stock single. The only thing to note is the twins make power at 8500rpm, so you have to adjust your timing curve and move your rev limiter and it gets tricky...
If you want an 860, phone Toot's Performance at 780-720-1396. Most H.P. I have seen out of an 860. You will pay more, but he will actually put the time into porting that everyone else claims to be doing. His 860 with crankshop twins and a reflash hauls some serious azz!! He will actually...
I had one under the hood of my Rev and one in my pack, best invention ever. By the time you get yourself unstrapped out of an ABS pack to find your shovel you have no desire to shovel anymore. Pop the hood and start shovelling.
