    Covid biggest hoax ever.

Well I guess if its on snow and mud it must be true. It affects people in many different ways. If your lucky you don't get very sick. But be clear its not like the common flu.

Compaction in Managed Snowmobile Areas. When and How to Communicate it? Thoughts?

Curtis, Great to see you inspiring these conversations. Nothing new in the avalanche business. Ski areas have dealt with this since day one with avalanche education. Should be discussed in every ast 1 sled course and if not should be brought up and added to the course through the ast providers...

    over rev when descending

2013 xm I get an over rev indication when descending if I pick up the rpm enough to engage the belt. Happens consistently. Anyone else experience this? Big pain to take it to a dealer with only very limited days to ride due to work. ok to ride?

    cooling and braces

Thanks for the info. I ordered the bottom two grip and rip braces today. Sounds like a good idea. Still cannot figure the temp issue. No hard pack riding, good cooling conditions. I have scratchers but really no need to have them down in the conditions I've been riding. Get all bars or close...

    cooling and braces

Looking for a little assistance. - 2013 800 xm Cooling - I have the temp gage. Runs just past half and with any work will show all bars. Always do something to improve cooling when this happens and have not got a light or overheat shut down yet. Appears not to cool as well as I had hoped or...

1996 Skidoo Summit 500 overreving when stopping

If you let it idle does it eventually drop down? I have a 98 670 it has always done this. Inconsistent on how long the fast idle lasts. Sometimes for minutes other times drops in 30 sec or so. I think it's the dpm and is normal. Not sure that year if you have a dpm or hac system. Check carefully...

Good avy video of a skier caught in a slide, ABS Air Bag seems to help a lot.

The best example of bad decision making ever. Considerable danger forecast, recent avalanche activity, heavily wind affected slope with variable distribution, terrain trap (cliff band) but hey I've got an air bag on so I'll head on down.

How has your sled treated you in the long haul?

Yup, I think it's appalling the lack of accountability from sled manufactures. Both brp and polaris have cost people a pile of cash. The eteck however I believe is a take off from an outboard motor with a good reliability record and the xm has sorted out the handling issues that I did not like...

How has your sled treated you in the long haul?

OK I'll bite. I'm still on a 98 670x Has a 159 on it and some custom skis, otherwise stock 17,000 km. 4000 on the motor. You get no respect in the parking lot. Most other sledders won't even talk to you. Seems to be all about the iron. Gets me where I want to go. This sled owes me nothing and...

    summit 670 rebuilt

They are famous for loading up. Do you need to hold the throttle open to start it? Always run a new plug. Sometime requires 2 per season depending on how much you ride. Never park / stop it sloping down. Always up or level. Check the float adjustment. Nature of the beast.

cat ski, ski hill and heli ski operators data collection??!?!?!?!?!

The information is shared between professional operations and the cac through a system called infoex. This is the primary source for data the cac uses to produce the public bulletin. All users of this system have to meet certain standards to ensure the information is accurate and meets...

    Airy Shaker hut area

I'm guessing the rec area and mapped sled terrain is Grizzly which is SVSA country. Good to see this one stayed polite with a good sharing of information. The kootenay way. Not like the revy ski area thread. Man I can't believe the mods are leaving that up. Posting names and pictures...... yikes!

    Airy Shaker hut area

I say again, this is not about an official closure of an area but about respect for traditional use of an area by groups with different perspectives.
