    Vacation destinations

A buddy of mine just came back from 2 weeks in Aruba. Says it was very nice. A large portion of their GDP is tourism so they are very kind he says. The rented quads and side by sides and drove all over the island. Apparently you just pull into traffic and go. He also mentioned that it is a...

    ATV vs. UTV regulations

I sit on the board of a non profit and we have a UTV (Kubota RTV900 with seatbelt and ROPS) that is driven by contract labour (all legal drivers) and I am wondering if anyone know if current Sask. ATV laws govern these machines or is it a different set of rules as it has built in safety...

    Any truck and transport techs?

Thank you for the great information guys. He likes the automotive stuff right now because him and his buddies spend endless hours wrenching on old Ford 4x4's and the likes. We were looking under the hood of my diesel Super Duty one day and I commented on how that was more likely the type of...

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

When I first started hauling a skid steer, I always put a plastic pop bottle in the exhaust, it fit really well on my case. Truth be told, I got lazy after a while and got tired of picking it up off the ground when I forgot to take it out before I started it. Never had an issue with turbos.

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

I am in Sk and I look after some busy fast food restaurants that like to have their drive thru and parking lots down down to the pavement at all times. They also only like it to sit in a pile for a day or so and then I have to haul it. I was thinking if I had a dump trailer with more...

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

I was thinking along the same lines. Rocks are an issue. I wonder how bad it would get pelted with the front of the dump trailer being higher?

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

I don't ever have to haul snow in the box and pull the loader on the trailer so that part should be ok. Just looking at some manufactures sites and they have what they are calling a low pro series. 24" deck height with 78" rams for loading on a 16' trailer. I may go have a look at one of...

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

Thanks for all the insight guys. Now I am reconsidering. My main business for my skid steer is snow piling and hauling in the winter and don't do much work with it in the summer so making it easiest for that type of work would be the priority. I just hate seeing my dump truck sitting 8 months...

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

I was wondering about the ramp length. My deck over has a 2' beaver as well as the ramp and it can get a little hairy if your low on fuel, carrying a tooth bucket inside the snow bucket and backing onto the trailer, cost me a pair of underwear the first time it happened!

Hauling a skid steer in a dump trailer

Long story short, I buggered up the hitch on my 18' deck over trailer that I haul my skid steer on and I think its going to be a total loss. When hauling snow, I have a single axle dump truck with a 7'x14' box I use to pull the trailer and when just piling snow I pull the trailer with my F350...

Super atv and viper max 4500 lb winches

Another vote for Runva. Great winch for the price. Have one on my Sportsman, put it on the beginning of last year and not one issue. I went with the synthetic rope instead of cable.

    Hot Wheels....post your pics

Here is mine, not a asphalt ripping machine by any stretch! 1926 Durant Star R Coupe. Pretty rare car. Model R only built in '26-'27. R designates 6 cylinder vs. 4 cylinder. Been working on it for the past 5 years or so on and off. No reproduction parts available, every thing has been rebuilt by...

    Christmas bonus?

I don't give a bonus, I just pay more than the going rate for a guy that is not dumb ass and makes my life easier. In fact, I tell them that in the job interview. I will pay you according to how much work you take off my plate. Seems to work well.

    Interesting story...

A dealer in Sk. I don't want to post the name of the dealer as I did not hear the information directly from the salesman's myself. I had never heard of a dealer being so arrogant and thought I would post the story for fun to see if any one had ever ran into anything like this before.

    Interesting story...

When I bought my sled a few years ago, from a different dealer, there was only one sticker on it. I took it off when I got home and when I took it in for a service, the put another one on. I always take the big window decals off my trucks too, they made their money off me, I'm not going to...

    Interesting story...

One of my buddies snow checked a Summit and picked it up a couple of days ago. He was early for his appointment with the salesmen and he was not at the shop so the guy he was talking to said to come back in a couple hours. Buddy commented that they could use the time to take off the dealership...
