No boosting. I think it is a bad or loose sensor. I believe the sensor is located near the oil fill. So I will check it out in a few days when I am off work. I suspect it was either loose from the factory or a twig hit it and loosened or damaged it.
The spedo stopped working on my 08 KQ 750. It reads 0 all the time.
I had just come out of a trail covered in wet willows when it stopped working. I am wondering if a stick could have hit a wire, or maybe something got wet. The rest of the display works fine.
Hopefully someone can help me with...
Someone mentioned that inlines produce more torque, have less parts etc as the reason they are used in large trucks. While this is true and a factor in their use in large trucks, another reason that posters leave out is the width of a V style engine. A 14+ litre v8 engine is too wide for...
What are the advantages of a radial tire over bias?
I am considering the Interco Reptile and was wondering if a radial is worth the extra coin, given the limited choices at this time.
An oil change every 10 days!!! 500+ km a day? Wow, I only average 100 km a day, 35,000 a year. All I am saying is that I am not sold on extened oil change intervals. I have talked to a few mechanics and done a little research and figure I will keep within the manufactures recommendations...
You are right. The amount of oil a quad uses is no big deal price wise. Just wanted to know what people thought was the best and if Amsoil was worth the extra money.
I have not used Amsoil in my truck because I am not sold on the extended drain interval thing. And $250 for oil 4 or 5 times a...
Where did you find Amsoil for $11 a litre? It is $19 at Can tire in my city.
I can afford the Amsoil, but Mobil 1 is $6 a litre less. So I figure if it is as good, why pay more. I will be in Alberta in two weeks. If I can get Amsoil for $11 a litre I will pick up extra.
I do not like the idea of...
Interesting posts. yzgirl mentioned that a dirtbike is much lighter than a quad. I think that many people do not realize how heavy quads are. Especially new riders. For example, Suzuki has just started listing wet weights for their quads. The 750 KQ is 670 wet. Add 50lbs of bumper, a winch and...
The worst traffic is generally from Penticton to Kelowna. The new bridge has helped with congestion crossing the lake. But there is lots of construction south of Kelowna. Once done it will make to drive quicker. I drove it in the evening so not much for delays. For the most part the traffic in...
Regarding the KVR, while I am not positive about the entire length of the road bed, it is my understanding that most if not all of it is closed to motorized vehicles. Like I said, I am not positive. If anyone is interested in finding out if ATVs and permitted on the KVR, I will be hiking the...
Thanks. This seems like a nice site. Better than what I have found locally. Unfortunately not much on it for my area, but I have a friend in Valemount and there is good info on that area. Not too far from here.
I was wondering what oil most recommend for a King Quad 750?
I was contemplating Amsoil, Mobil 1 or the Suzuki oil in 10w40.
Not that it is a big deal, but there is a big price difference between the different choices. I have no problem paying $20 a litre for Amsoil, but if Mobil 1 is just as...
I am looking to get a rear cargo box for my King Quad. I do not need it to hold a ton of stuff and like the idea of one with a built in seat. I have seen a few soft sided ones that I like. Figure they may hold up better if banged around, or bumped into. But the hard sided ones can be locked and...
Thanks for the reply. It answered my question. I ride with a few guys that have Polaris, and they do not have to stop to shift. Not a big deal, and I like the Suzuki. Rode 100km of dirt and mud the other day. Love it.
