    I bought a Yardworks 950 inverter generator from Canadian Tire about 5 years ago, I use it more or less to recharge the trailers batteries. It is as quiet as a Honda 1000 and cost $400, takes a few pulls to start but works just fine.

    you can rent the sander from home depot and do the work yourself, start in a bedroom and see how it works out. then use that clear floor varathane. Hardest part is the cleanup afterwards(dust)
