I had the Truxedo on my other truck and it was great (except for the azz who let their cigarette burn a small hole in it.) I now have the Bakflip on my truck and also love it. I wanted a hard top so I could lock the tailgate. I had no issues with the Bakflip in the winter last year.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I kept my Dakota for 10 years until I started having some issues. I think with that milage, you'll have a tough time selling it, you might as well keep it. You got your money's worth out of the truck I'd say.
I've been looking for a GPS as well for quadding and I've been told to stay away from the touch screens as they get scratched up from the dirt and mud. The best prices I've seen are from GPS city.
Garmin GPS & Accessories, RAM Mounts, Lowrance GPS, TomTom GPS at GPS City Canada
I was a bit dissapointed with the show this year. I agree, it's very much targeted towards snowmobiling and not much for the ATV's. Also, didn't really see much for deals, but there wasn't much for ATV accessories to choose from.
Sweet looking ride! I'm jealous.
The nicest soft bag storage I've seen is made by Ogio. No zippers, they use magnets to close.
I've seen them at Argyll Motorsports. I'm sure there's a few other places that have them as well. I've used a cheap soft bag and after the first use, the velco...
If budget is a concern, then buy a used brand name. There's nothing more frustrating than saving up your hard earned money, then getting stuck with a machine that won't work, nobody will buy from you, and hard to get parts for.
I've just hooked it up to my trailer hitch on the truck and put it in freespool and backed up. Just a warning - if it's really stuck, don't give it slack then gun it, otherwise the cable might snap back and you'll hurt yourself. (seen alot of it on youtube)
I've been tired of the cable...
So after almost getting completely lost in the bush (and went too many kilometere's North instead of South :d)....the brother-in-law and I are now looking at "investing" in a GPS. Just wanted some input as to what everyone is using, likes, dislikes..etc.
Check out quadshop.ca they have the rotopax. Saw them at the sportsman show this year. Look like a great setup with the attachment hardware. You can buy multiples and stack them.
Cycle Works in Edmonton doesn't seem to be any better in dealing with them. My brother in law was looking at buying a quad there, and they misquoted him the price on the quad and wouldn't honour the price. They said they quoted a different quad, even though he was sitting on it in the showroom...
