February is always a good time of year to ride. As anyone that has been out West knows it only takes one storm while your here or just before you get here to turn good riding into epic riding.

Thanks for the update, I will touch base in Jan to see how the POW conditions are before we commit to a 14 hr trip down to you guys. the wife and i are really looking forward to this trip. :d

Cant wait to get some Moose Drool

As most of sled nation might know.....We got hammered! Not a good fight ending in a 12th round decision hammered, I mean Iron Mike giving it to Spinks in 91 seconds hammered.... Ok enough of the analogies. Over Two feet of snow in the past three days for totals up to 60+ inches on the snotel sites!!!!! It was so good, I was getting powder turns in our parking lot on our 2011 rentals. Trails and backcountry open Dec. 1. Get those sleds tuned up and ready to rip! Pictures of the carnage in town will be posted soon.

Should be good for you as you can see from the pics. Snow has settled into a great base for the season and we are at a LOW avi danger on non-wind loaded slopes. For this time of year that is unheard of. Keep it safe still, one at a time on slopes and watch your buddies from a safe zone. I wish I'd be here this next weekend to go rip with you, but family Christmas Party first. Enjoy!

Underdog,

Did you get out last weekend?

Might get out tommorrow... work first.
Not much happening around here for precipt is concerned, but do have a little action moving in starting today. Supposed to hang around until the weekend.

Leaving for there tomorrow and will be riding this weekend.

Just finished our first day of riding. Went lots of places that no one else had been yet. Went to the south plateau. Was a good time!

what were the snow conditions like? We're heading there on tuesday.

They were decent south of town, but everywhere else it wasnt the greatest. Big sky is closed as there is a bridge out. It was run though!

Big Sky is not closed, just the trail from the Highway to The Tepee Creek intersection with the highway trail, due to Grayling Creek opening back up. You can still access this area by trailering to the Tepee Creek trailhead.
