I logged on to my Telus Optik account a couple of hours ago and canceled Sportsnet and a few other channels...saved myself $35 month. I'm also sending another email to Sportsnet to confirm they have lost a customer due to the firing of Don Cherry.
On a brighter note...I was happy to see that P&G reported a net loss of about $5.24 billion, or $2.12 per share, for the quarter ended June 30, due to an $8 billion non-cash write down of Gillette. I started another thread a while back and have been boycotting P&G products ever since...looks like lots of other people are also pissed at Gillette...get WOKE and go BROKE.

Along with Roger's I believe they also own Fido, Maclean's Magazine, Moneysense Magazine, CityTv, OmniTv and 37% of Toronto sports teams. Among other things. Also they own quite a few of the radio stations in AB and across the country. Boycott away!!

It wasn't "you people" that did it. It was "You people...you come here..." I don't think everyone's response was proportional, but he did screw up. Had he left out three words "you come here" I don't think anyone would have taken offense. ...still pretty sad though.

I wasn't gonna post, most has already been said but my convo at work this morning made me want to vent....For as long as i can remember grapes has been saying "you people". He looks dead into the camera points his finger and says Now you guys, you girls, you parents, you coaches, you refs, you linesmen, you goalies, you youngsters, you tough guys, you pretty boys, you hotshots...can go on forever. I grew up with the old man buying all the Rockem Sockem videos on VHS and watching the best fights. I owe most of my junior hockey fight wins to Bob Probert and being on almost every video. I couldn't stand the guys voice or his arrogance but he IS hockey. Have a watch at some old videos of him chiming in on different topics....Nothing has changed, he didn't change, BUTT hurt Canada changed. Some dank at work said "So now immigrants have to celebrate Christmas too because most of Canada does" i gave him the "Are you fawking retarded" now your bringing religion into this....unreal how this has blown up and some peoples views. ya ya i get it, national TV and has to watch what he says. He's 85 years old, i'm surprised he hasn't made a colored player comment haha jk. . I think it was a inside job to free up some sportsnet money...just like Ron Burgundy if you type it on the telleprompter he will read it...

A lawyer or two have already commented that Don has a good case to sue for unjust dismissal. I doubt he will though...I think he will just fade into retirement
