Next door to my neighbor...
I sit on the board of a non profit and we have a UTV (Kubota RTV900 with seatbelt and ROPS) that is driven by contract labour (all legal drivers) and I am wondering if anyone know if current Sask. ATV laws govern these machines or is it a different set of rules as it has built in safety equipment? Specifically wanting to know about helmets? Government of Sask website not responding to my queries, go figure. Any insight appreciated.

I think you still need to wear helmets in a UTV in Saskatchewan.

“all terrain vehicle” means a self-propelled vehicle that:(i) is designed primarily for the movement of people or goods onunprepared surfaces; and(ii) has wheels in contact with the ground;

Equipment18(1) The operator of, and any passenger in or on, an all terrain vehicle that isbeing operated shall wear a helmet and protection for the eyes of the type and inthe manner prescribed.(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the operator of, or a passenger in or on, an allterrain vehicle while it is being operated on land owned or occupied by the operatoror the passenger or by a member of the immediate family of either of them.
