my $75.00 to that still stands as well.
If in fact these so called accident and close calls are the truth.....You are setting a example to all young riders that Full protection is over rated......LOOK LOOK at me I'am Skyboy and I ride without full protection and I've survived 2 so called accidents.....
I'am glad your not a crack head.....
Go ask anyone on here I dont give a crap what anyone thinks of me. But I do care about how the sport is protrayed.
AND MY OFFER STILL STANDS...TO GET YOU INTO A TEK VEST..
p.s. I have nothing against kids.....ask anyone on here I speak of my kids and grandkids all the time.....Properlly trained young people will become the GOOD EXAMPLES of our Sport.

i understand that you guys have been through these accidents and probaly take offense to my post. im sorry for that. but i have had these experiences to and my latest one occured with injury of my left arm. also the way you are portraying me is not how i tried to put it. im not a crazy rider but im good at the riding i do. but everyone has a little accident every now and then. just recently i was educated about all this "extra protection" because when i was growing up all you needed was a helmet. so im fairly new to this. i apreciate your concerns and yes im not going to ride until i got my full gear. "or at least a chest protector". snotty im sorry if i offended you. your a good guy and i dont want you thinking im a stupid kid because im not. i just never understood where you where coming from. thanks to all for helping me out.

My bro (poppajon) and i used to ride it that pit all the time last year with the farmers permission. We called him about a month or so ago and he told us that we could'nt ride there cuz some guys burnt a car and just about burnt down the grain elevator. He told us once his cows are out of there we could ride there again. Any idea who was burning stuff in there?

This thread has gone out of control.... We're just going in circles. In the future, Skyboy, don't "brag" about your near misses. As obviously it causes an issue. Just keep them to yourself if you're that stupid. And to your buddy. Please don't be such a lazy azz and speak english please and thank you.

theres no need for those words. you missed the last 40 or so replies that say pretty much exactly what you just said.
heres a sum up for you.....

i talked about my "near misses"
slb and snotty offered me money
i laughed and said thanks but no thanks
slb said he was serious
i said no thanks and slb said ok.
slamnek offered his boots
since he lives close to me i accepted
i apologized for my thread and if it caused any offense.
i was thanked.
me and my "buddy" and slamnek talked about the pit that was closed.

I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about a crash you or anybody has. We have all done stupid things and i don't think skyboy is bragging about his crash. I rode a CR 125 for two seasons with nothing but a helmut and race pants for protection and yes i hurt myself a few times. Now i ride with full gear because i can afford it, back then i could'nt but that was'nt goin to stop me from riding.

Hey Skyboy13. As a father of four boys 18 to 9 (all riders) I hear where you are coming from. Every time they are out they scare the heck out of me and I them on occasion. My rule is, no gear no ride. I bought their sleds and they worked it off. The gear was free (for them not me). Us older guys have all lost someone near & dear to us while participating in our motorsports. Usually the crash itself was preventable. At the very least better protection would have given the loved one a better than even shot at surviving. That is where the emotional responses come from. Back in the 70's I was riding a 650 Kawi street bike. Protection was a jean jacket & cowboy boots. And I was better equipped than most of my buddies. Pretty stupid eh? Times have changed for good reason. I wouldn't even think about getting on my sled or my bike without full gear. You are obviously a pretty smart guy and do your generation proud. We need guys like you to stick around. Look at the bad rap that youths are getting in just about any area of the media these days. Hanging out a 7-11, smoking dope, stealing, etc., We all know you are not into that crap because you are either riding, working, or on the computer. And still somehow you manage to get to school. You have had three solid offers of equipment to assist you in staying in one piece. PM those that made the offer. Ask them to e-mail you their phone number. Let your folks talk to them and arrange delivery at a public place (WEM comes to mind). Pride can not stand in the way of survival. I have had to tell a parent about the loss of a loved one due to a bike crash. Not a pleasent experience. Save someone else from having to do that. Sorry for being long winded. Stay Safe.
