Good time to cash out.

Probably would be, considering I'm up 961% (average, I've bought at different levels and mine it also) but I think its going way higher yet. So holding on till 100g Cad, but If if crashes I'll be pissed though haha

dan your spose to be playing with that stuff in your tfsa

I have stocks in a Tfsa, i dont think you can use bitcoin in a Tfsa unless it's in the form of an ETF or some other wall street type product though.

Mine is all stored in an offline wallet(not on an exchange) and wasn't really an issue until now because it's worth a lot and Im starting to think about selling.

Not a bad problem to have though.

I'm curious for people who have invested for awhile like say in 10 years, what is your annual average return on stocks? See all these crazy valuations, but i'm sure they are few and far between that only a very few people make big on. Curious if it's potentially a better route for some money then real estate.

For me best money has been land/ real estate. I bought my first quarter at 16. Sold at 200%. But alot of hardship there. Due to circumstances I'd prefer to still own it. And still would if it wasn't for a broken relationship. Gains in stock market have been about 9% each year for the last 7 years. Always said freedom 35 but at 40 still no freedom.

Yea that's unfortunate. 9% is good return, but real estate definitely pays better especially with low interest rates to borrow the bulk of the money. Much more risk in a way but I really like having control over my investment instead of basically having a piece of paper that could be worthless. Always the upside there will be a massive real estate boom again at some point.

Warren Buffet made 100 billion on stocks, and some people loose their ass lol
Same thing in real estate, some make a fortune and others go broke....

9% annually is just treading water.

Knowledge is power.

Some people invest and some people gamble. There is a big difference

Added a small amount of Ether fund today. Biden planning on another 2 trillion in spending hard to not see these crypto’s pushing further. With the Dems having full run of the gambit now too I’m defiantly looking at putting some cash in lithium EV they are going to push this hard. Could also be good for Canadian oil if he restricts fracking in US. Defiantly went cash heavy recently hard to not see some more unrest next week market could see a temp pullback but once he gets into office I could see markets running much further.

I’m almost identical more cash heavy than I’ve been ever in last two days. If there isn’t a pullback in the next few days I’ll jump back in I really think sleepy joe will somewhat create less volatility’s least from a shoot from the hip Twitter standpoint.

I've sold 90% of everything as well, including my mutual funds. I'm done letting someone else manage my money for a measly 8-9% annual return.

I am holding a small amount of EDDY:TSX-V. Solely out of intrigue.
So say there was this guy who had a good batch of RRSPs (I assume most are in mutual funds) and he wanted to protect that chit from getting creamed in a "correction", how would he do that? Keep in mind this guy really has no idea about market terminology, etc....
