Not good to add 2 smoke oil to fuel, sea foam is better and won't swell or plug fuel lines -fuel filter

Well going by what Mitch wanted to try added seafoam and drove 40k and then the 2 stroke not adding anymore. Ran lucas faithfully up to 6 months ago and stopped.

You tech guys? Is the efi live working good on the 2011 plus trucks as far as deletes?
Don't care about anymore power as they are fine the way they are as far as power. IMO
Seeing they have a program for this now?
Thanks in advance.
Works great on all Duramax trucks with deletes and tuning available for all.

Any good shop can help u out..... Dealerships labour rates are substantially more..... I don't understand this "take it to the dealership" mentality people have. Same or better work at smaller shops, and get to deal with owners or mechanics if you want verses just being a # in a million dollar dealership, lower shop rates and cheaper but better quality parts.... Oh well. I'd rather save some money and use it sledding. Just me. I worked at several big dealerships and know the game

Not at all.... We've tried to borrow tools from dealers that we knew we needed.... And we're told by 2 different shop fore mans that we either don't have it or have never used it... We end up buying the tools.... We've actually lent a dealer a tool several times because they didn't have it...

I am open to take it to someone that has done it before its wide open to work on any suggestions rather than the mentality issue. In this town the dealership would be my best bet.

Isn't there any good general automotive or diesel shops?
They would be much cheaper than a dealer.... Heard the dealer in whitecourt is $175/hour?

I know that most general automotive shops that don't have a diesel tech will not touch the diesel end of things. It really is a specialty thing that requires a lot of specialized training, and moreso specialized tools. We won't even touch Triton 3V spark plugs, let alone a broken off duramax glow plug.

We do lots.... Most shops don't realize what they're missing out on.... Special tools for removing those broken triton spark plugs, and letting them soak overnight in penetrating fluid is a must

Dont matter if its 200 hr if they can do it without taking head off and they have a very well trained duramax guy, the hardest part is getting the rod out of the way to get a easyout in,

Tough luck on the glow plug, did all of mine but i let them soak in penetrating fluid for a few days.

Another option on your truck for the injector noise when you let off the throttle is on the back of the drivers side fuel rail there is a release valve that releases the pressure from your rail to return back to the fuel tank. It's not impossible for those to stop functioning. Many people put a shim kit to stiffen up the spring so there is less fuel pressure leached out from the release valve. In other words if that valve has stopped working on your truck, when you let off the throttle your desired fuel pressure at 3/4 throttle, will well exceed your desired fuel pressure on idle, so the fuel is SUPPOSE to go through the release valve and back into the fuel tank, well if it can't go through there, you gotta put that pressure through the injectors.

Me, i took the valve off all together and put on a plug and then got a bored out fuel rail fitting for even more fuel lol..

So on a duramax before lisle made the water pump tools

How did ya hold the crank to get bolt out then???

Ford super duty vac hub seals in 2000, then 03, then 05, 08 ect as they kept changing size ect ??

Two good examples

The rod around it for some ways where broken is hollow... Easy to drill and like I said just did one a week or two ago for a useless tech at our shop that can't do sh!t

Long spiraled easy out, came right out

I've done lots of d maxs , never had one break off for me

Didn't think lbz had issues with saggy return spring, it was lly that did

And yes very good cheap mod
