had 2 great days of riding, 1 around the caroline staging area, the other around burnstick lake... the fresh snow was bonus and was surprised how much snow is still out there.

last bit of the ride on sunday made a bad choice in an open creek crossing and end up submerging part of my sled, my friend and i had a hell of a time trying to get it out and got lucky when a group of riders from the sundre area helped out. got it out but it took in water and wasn't able to get it going so we towed it out... just wanna throw out a HUGE thanks to the 3 guys that stopped. its sure nice when other riders stop and help, and it always makes me pay it forward when others are in need of a helping hand...

went out saturday most of the snow was concrete. We did get up high enough to hit some powder and it was still deep. lots of brown showing up though.

What kind of riding is in Caroline area? I tried googling what type of terrain it is and it shows trails, and it shows guys in what looks like "big foothills/mountains"? Looking at possibly making a trip out this year but I don't really know what to expect. Its just a lot closer then driving all the way out to vale...

Thanks!

Its really easy to navigate your way around out there, the trails are pretty well used out there through the trees and in the cut blocks, a few pipelines and power lines to follow to. Makes for a good day of riding!!!
