Absolutely. Vanessa's post was saying that the Etec flooded itself and spewed flaming gas out of the hole. Not happening. Reason one being that adding that much fuel at low rpm is well over the etecs computers operating perameters. An reason two is all of our exhaust sensors came out this year on our sleds and most of us never noticed until the evening. 5 sleds total

well it happened....im sure the guy isnt lying...or trying to bash ski doo. hes most likely looking for help in a new thread.

They are a HOT sled.

lol... i have 6000 miles on my 07 rev and its hot but not that hot. have you heard of the sensors falling out of the suitcase and causing flooding?...and leading to possible fire as per another members post in this thread.

the free speech thing works both ways. even if you aren't a dumbass, it's my right and priveledge to call you one if I choose. you either have to deal with it by ignoring the comments and moving on, or engage in a written verbal altercation which I happen to really enjoy. start as many threads as you want, asking as many questions that have been covered a hundred times. you will receive some solid info, as well as respnses from d!cks like me that tell you to stop cluttering up the site and use the search function.

there is nothing you can post asking about the XM that hasn't been covered somewhere on this fine forum, I guarantee it. everything from what can sounds best, to what kind of oil should you run. the 'doo guys are honest about the issues they have had and are willing to post about it. the pro comment is a bit of leftover venom from a hard winter of back and forth with the poo guys. it's all in fun, but some take it too seriously. I'm just having fun, but I can get under your skin real quick....lol.

if its all in fun then why so bitter ...did your wife leave you for a poo rider??... i agree the site does get cluttered but better to start my own thread and if you dont like it like you said then move along. you dont have to be rude or bitter because i started a new thread on old issues.

Really? Not holding up to the aggressive riders? Lol I've bagged the piss out of mine all winter long and not a single issue. Smashing into trees, rolling over rocks, flipping end over end, it's been WOT since km1 and nothing wrong with my XM. Sure it could use some cosmetic work but that's what happens when you smash into chit lol mechanical wise it's perfectly fine.

I had raw fuel running out of my muffler when it was new due to a failed injector. So it is possible but the issue will be there afterwards and quite obvious when it only runs on one cylinder lol.

at 16 seconds you can hear someone yell, they are most likely standing by the white sled smoking or drinking.....

There is no way Id try to put out my sled if it started on fire... Better off to stand around and video tape it...Yu know.

The sensor issue is one that even the 12's had.
IMO, the best fix is to put anti-seize on the threads and tighten it down. I never had an issue with mine so far and I think others have had luck doing the same.
I wonder if a nordlock washer would work......

Thats what a nordlock is for. Lots of guys use them on the y-pipe bolts for the same reason.
I just don't recall if the shoulder on the sensor nut bottoms down or if it's a tapered thread fitting in which case a nordlock wouldn't work.
