Heard somewhere that you need to take your sled to a Skidoo dealer at the end of each year to get a mandatory service in order to validate your warranty or the warranty is void......is this true?

The 4 year warranty will cost you $400 per year?

That is the first I have heard of that one. Friggin' rumor mills enyways!

Just a thought, will you keep a sled for 4 years this day and age? I took the 3 year warranty and added the ES. It will still have 2+ years of warranty when I am looking for a new one. Two years warranty remaining is pretty good and I will admit there will be some who would want that extra year.

I gotta get 5 or 6 years out of my sleds so the 4 year warranty looks pretty good to me. May be if I am lucky I will toast the engine on the 4 th year and be able To ride the last couple on a new engine. Lol.

Not true 10hr service is all and even then some dealers let it slide

My dealer said the 10hr isn't mandatory at all just suggested. They said if it comes in and looks like it's being properly maintained they won't even bat an eye. If it looks like it isn't being greased, dirty chaincase oil, etc, then they may raise a few questions.

I would rather no warranty and a break on the price. Warranty is only good if you can have the time to wait imo. 90% of the time I purchase the parts anyway; fix it; riding next day instead of waiting for assessments; company telling dealer ok to fix on warranty; then waiting on dealer to have a spot open up. Warranty useless to me.

Ya. For a lot of people the waiting can dismiss the reason for warranty. My dealer has a "shop" Sled that they can provide well mine is getting fixed. So warranty is a no brainer. If they offered more money off then I could see going for that instead of warranty.

Has anyone seen the fine print on the warranty? Does it cover clutch components, track, shocks, bushings, bearings springs, coil, injectors, stator, electical and so on. I will bet that it doesn't and will most likey cover the motor if your lucky.
All other things will be called wearable items and no warranty .

I wish everyone luck and hope they stand behind warranty but i thing it is marketing at its finest.

Its bumper too bumper....But If you put 10,000km's on yer sliders and they wear out,I wouldnt call that a warranty issue.

I would think belts (after so many kms), sliders, clutch pucks & o-rings, ramps, rollers, clutch springs (maybe), battery, ski bushings, would be items not covered. All "wear" items IMHO.

Here we go and yes seriously!! Have you read the fine print. I will believe bumper to bumper when i see it. To me alot of people are going to think that everything is covered .
My self no, i realize that wearable parts most likely will not be but when it states bumper to bumper alot will be thinking it is.
Ever try to have a clutch replaced in your truck under warranty. Not happening . Said bumper to bumper ??? Right?
This is the point i am making and wanted a strait answer as to if any one has seen what would be covered and what will not be.

Snopro ?????????? what is the fine print ?

Explain to me how a stator or an injector is a wear item?? Some of the things you listed are wear items but you got yourself carried away and ended up in no mans land. Have a bad warranty experience once?

WEll, i just ordered a new 2014 pro and got the 4 year warranty.and yes I did more for the 4th year warranty , but when i looked at ALL the sleds and the pricing my new pro came in a few hundred dollars LESS than the summit x. I compared the same track size, and with es. that's the facts!
