Just wondering if anyone from the whitecourt area will be around January 19 to show us around the area and find the "great spots" to play. We will be bringing a couple of newbies with us and they want to do some easier riding before we drag them to the mountains. Is there anywhere else that would be a better choice within a couple of hours of Devon? There will probably be at least 6 of us coming. We will be riding the following:

Unless we get more snow before the 19th, you would be advised to head up to the goose tower area NW of Swan hills we were up there a week ago Friday and there was 4' on the ground. The snow here, near Whitecourt is skinny, off trail riding right now sucks...(the trails aren't that great either only 24cm of snow on the ground). I haven't turned a track here this season except to load up for the mountains. brew_doo is out riding today with his wife(and chainsaw). If there's more snow I'm sure that we can find someone to show you around a bit.

What is the goose tower area like for conditions after this weekend? Does it get tracked up alot? How far away from Swan Hills is it? Sorry for all of the questions.
