Track extension

[renegade BCX]

Hi

I am thinking of extending my 2012 renegade Backcountry X from a 137" to a 154". Just wondering if anyone has done this with this type of sled before. I'm thinking of getting complete new rails from ice age rather than rail extensions.

Couple questions.
Can I fit a 2.5" lug track in my tunnel without changing drivers?
what would be recommended for gearing. I'm thinking gear the same as a summit 154?
Would I need to mess with clutching?
i have also heard of ppl having problems with cooling after doing this? I ride the mountains but also do a lot of trail riding around Bonnyville and don't want to loose the reliability of this either?

Any nay comments or input would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the site.

Great first post. I would suggest that you copy/paste it in the Snowmobile Chat section as there is a lot more traffic in that thread and more snowmobile specific. You could also put in the SkiDoo section under your particular model. Good luck.
