we out at Hunters Range yesterday.

Expect all the popular areas to be tracked up with the untracked areas windblown and hard packed.
The best snow was in the trees.

We need fresh snow!

Getting snow at the moment with more in the forecast for the next few days,
And yes getting updates is tough especially off the SledSicamous website.
Not sure where they get their info but it is seldom the same as what we see once we go out.
Example: they claimed Quest groomed on the 7th with lots of new snow. Went up on the 8th trail sucked and no fresh. WTF

X2 to that! They update daily when it is snowing but when in a dry spell like now..........nothing. I intrepret silence as crappy conditions. Town is dead and no one is riding. Went up Quest yesterday and we were the only two. Packed trails and wind blown open areas. Road up was reasonably smooth.

Was up there 1/6-1/11. Here's what I posted elsewhere:

Headed on up to Sicamous on Thursday night for 5 days of riding. Snowpack is down from years past at this time, but that had absolutely no impact on the trip. We still had good snow and plenty of coverage everywhere we wanted to ride.

We hit Eagles the first two days. Visibility was pretty bad up high, but the burn was below the ceiling. We spent two days exploring parts of the burn that we hadn't hit before. Lots of fun stuff out there. I usually head to Owlshead or Blue Lake when the visibility is bad, but I'm starting to think that Eagles isn't just a sunny day riding area.

Sunday we rode Griffin. Pretty cool spot. No grooming, so the trail in is pretty brutal. Lots of good boondocking.

Monday was supposed to be socked in, so we headed to Blue Lake. We peeled off the groomed trail a few miles sooner than usual, and hit a bunch of new terrain. Even though there hadn't been any new snow since the weekend, we still rarely crossed another track.

Tuesday we finally had some visibility. We headed back to Eagles to enjoy the alpine. Unfortunately the alpine was pretty windblown, so we spent the majority of the day in the trees again. At least we were able to get up and through the alpine so we could cross over to Monster. We had a pretty good time finding a new (to us) route across the valley to the Monster side of things. We poked up into the big bowls for a few minutes, but we saw a couple windslabs that had released and the snow was better down lower. We crossed back over toward the route into Turtle. Had some more fun in the sub-alpine trees and called it a day.

Not much good footage or photos. Just didn't have the light for it on this trip.

anyone riding sicamous area? updates on conditions are hard to find.

it also doesn't help when people start new threads and the updates get spread around in different treads.

Snow pack is down, fresh snow is limited.

The website is only updated through the club. If no one from the club is out riding, then there won't be any updates.

Like I said, no one is riding. Was up Owlhead today, it is ok and you can find places to play. It was pretty good but not the bottomless stuff we are used to. Snowing when I came down and was able to ride from the bottom. Sicamous is still a sledder paradise.

Headed up Blue today, trail was groomed last night and some fresh up top. Visability was in and out all day but things are looking better.
Still able to find good powder in the trees. Forecast looks promising this week with cooler temps and snow. Thanks to the grooming team
trail was excellent!
