Shellmouth is by Lake of the Prairies and the Assinibione river does flow to Winnipeg which is a long ways away. No worries about flooding here as we start off as part of the source that floods out the fools that choose to build in a natural flood plain. The Assiniboine River flows into the Red river and it's the Red that has spilled it's banks and flooding all those that live close to it. The Red River flows north from its headwaters in Minnesota.
