Who's running on on their 13? Are you running stock compression or higher?

A friend of mine just put a drop in his 2011 so he's going to let me know how it works but the 13s are alot preppier than the 11s and 12s stock.

Also thought of doing the cheater for warranty purposes and it sounds like the best bang for your buck other than the billet cools better.

Thanks.

can't comment on 13's, but think you will have to decide if you want to be mixing fuel everytime you ride and the associated expense. i found it a pain in the butt. ran 14:1 rktech head. there kits in my experience work well, it's all what your willing to put up with.

mixxing fuel for higher octane?

theres a dyno sheet of a hp improvement with a rk tek head stock compression. If i increased the compression i wouldnt go as high as you did, would just make it so i had to run premium at all times which i do anyways.

would definitly work the best, more ride time less stupid mixing fuel. but some want the extra hp. think your on the right track, drop in kit for the money was well worth it for me. good luck

get the 13:1 head and dont worry about mixing fuel. Tell Kelsey what your plans are and he will tell you what will work best

I'm running 13:1 on my '12 with RKTek pistons to match. I've ran 50/50 100LL (av gas), 100% 100LL, and straight premium from Shell. I've got to say that I don't think running 100LL has any benifet. I've had no detonation with straight pump fuel. Also, the sled runs hotter with RKTek parts in my case, and a lot of other cases. There is a great mod to do to get your temps back down otherwise the Polaris programming will limit the motor from performing at its potential due to the high temps.

13:1 is likely stock compression, you should see no benifit to any higher octane fuel than is recommended from the manufacturer. premium usually gets away from added alchol in the gas which is always a good thing. u found it out also with no deto problems on pump fuel. with more compression, you may need more octane though

looks like 12:1 is stock compression. 13:1 may require some increase in octane in Saskatchewan

12:1 is stock compression in these 800s,12.5 helps alot and works great for 0-2000 elevation on prem,13:1 works too on 11-12s but 13s need 2 gals av mix from what i have seen at 0-2000 feet anything above that u r good to go with prem ,with power addiction heads anyway, just remember to use non ethanol prem fuel esso,or shell is about all in our area

Too bad you guys in Alberta dont have chevron stations. I run their 94 premium, no ethanol. The pro stock compression is 12.1. With rkteks 13.1 head from 2000ft and up we dont have to mix fuel as the 94 works great from the pump.

For PG, personally i would go 13.6 on 94 octane Every where is 2500-5000 around pg, mcbride is 6000-10,000.

I'm in Fort St. James (2300'), I run the RK Tek drop in kit in my 2012 Pro. I have the 13.1:1 head and have no detonation problems. Just 91 octane gas from Petro Canada. The kit runs hotter and you need to do the $28 upgrade kit on snowest. It gets the temps down to 110-118 and then the kit runs awesome!!

My friends dad is running the $28 mod on his 858 big bore. His running temps are like 106 and he has no rpm drop on hard long pulls with his 3" 174" he's go hi sask on snowest in the $28 mod thread, sounds like the doo thermostat is a must have mod.
