I know they pass gas and air threw them to make the motor run, and I know if you give them a drink of water they hiccup a lot. LOL

IMO I don't find it necessary to swap out the carb unless you are going to do some type of racing of something. I added a twin-air filter, snorkeled and didn't even have to re-jet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
