power steering install on old technology?

I have an old prairie mod that works great but lacks the luxuries of the new quads. thinking about power steering add on. is this possible or are they designed for newer electronics. I am fine with retro fitting it from another model just not sure how the input output is controlled. any brands good and others to avoid?
