Tried digging thru posts but has anyone replaced their old style teather cord keys from the xp's and switched to the new style RF keys like the new sleds have?

my 08 key is a pain in the ass. Looking to switch it to the new style like my 15 freeride has. Anyone ever done this?
Hoping I don't need new computer or anything like that. Just take to brp and have them program new style key???

thanks

So is the dess old style key for many sleds, can be programmed to many sleds

No. The sled learns the key, not the other way around.

You can program 10 sleds to run on one DESS key.

Dam so I'm stuck with that same old chitty dess key then??

The little bi-metal piece comes loose inside the tether cup and renders them useless, had a bad one once... great to have a spare when you're back there! Gotta be hooked up to budz to program...

ya I'm gonna go get a whole new one. This will be my third for this sled since 08 but was really hoping to change it over to the new RF key. Such a better setup. No farting around. Doesn't get packed with snow.

I would be nice if if brp made a swap out kit for the old xp's

I'm with you, I would love to put the new style key on my 14' summit. I hate that DESS key. With out even moving it from one start to the next, beep beep beep! Arrrggg! Wiggle it just slightly and off you go! Lol. Damn 1st world problems.

I think the limit is 8 and it is a sled that can store 8 different key codes. You can program as many sleds as you want to use with one key
