I have a 1997 Mountain Max 700.

It has 6200kms on it .

I just replaced the top end components (pistons, rings, wrist
pins, wrist pin bearings), the cylinders all measured within as new
factory tolerances. The engine has about 300 km on the rebuild and it's running very
well.

It was running very well before the rebuild, but I was following the
Yamaha recomendation of replacing top end components every 3000 to 4000
miles. The only things wrong with it are a dent in the right trailing arm
(the left one was replaced or the sticker came off) and the bottom left
side spindles is a bit curved, but those were there when I bought it and
don't affect performance (cheap and easy to fix anyway). The tunnel is in
awesome shape the paint is shows little wear.

The sled is in great shape and it has been well looked after, the guy I bought it from was meticulous, it features the following:
* 136 inch camoplast track with 2 inch paddles. The track was installed in
* 2007 and has about 1000 km on it, sliders/hyfax were done at that time too, along with the drive chain.
* New Primary Clutch.
* INA intake (pod style filters).
* Stinger Can
* Reverse
* Heated Handle Bars
* Mountain Strap
* Lefty Throttle
* New Carlisle Ultimax belt (also comes with new back-up Dayco belt on the clutch cover, and another new Carlisle Ultimax belt)
* New plugs and back up plugs
* Genuine Yamaha Shop manual, and cover.
* New Starter Rope.
* SLP Powder Pro Skis with carbide wear bars.
* Handle bar warmers.
* Belly pan protector.

I bought all of the parts for the top end rebuild kit and clutch kit from
Hartman Performance. The engine is all stock except for the intake pods and
the stinger can. I have done all work on the sled strictly following the
Yamaha shop manual.

I am asking $3000 for the sled, but will consider offers. I'd like to keep
it but I got a smokin' deal on an 07 APEX and I don't have room in my small garage for both. It's dialed in to run down on the lakes and up in the mountains.

Pics are attached let me know if you are interested.
