What a crazy race. 16 cautions as right rear tires kept blowing on cars all night. Once again NASCAR shat the bed not allowing testing on these cars. Congrats to Reddick who tip toed to the end for the win as drivers seemed to back off at the end because of the tire issues.

Jimmie Johnson announced yesterday he will retire from full time racing and concentrate on a few bucket list racing events while he still can. Not sure what those are yet.

NASCAR reacted to 2 incidents at Texas that they missed last weekend. William Byron was docked 25 driver points and $125,000 for spinning Denny Hamlin under caution. Hendricks says they will appeal. Also Ty Gibbs was docked the same penalty for his actions on pit road where he retaliated for being hit and almost forced another crew member into another teams crew that was servicing their car. Doesn’t sound like 2311 will appeal.

Hope they both get fined and it sticks

Good about time they watched those clowns.
Yeah I’m no Hambone fan but he lost 20 positions on the caution and Byron should have as well. And Gibbs needs to be smarter. He will make a good replacement for Busch as they both have bad tempers

Alex Bowman suffering from concussion symptoms after his crash at Texas. He will not be in the 48 car this weekend at Talladega. If he is back in time for the Charlotte Roval he will need to win to get to the round of 8. Noah Gragson will drive his car this coming weekend

Holy hell! Rumours are circulating in NASCAR circles that drivers may go on strike this Sunday at Talladega after repeated complaints by drivers about the new cars not absorbing impacts well enough and 2 playoff drivers now sitting out for relatively minor impacts that have caused possibly season ending concussions. Stay tuned!
