Yep has been the hard luck kid for sure but huge talent. Tough loss for Chase as well. Thats twice he has had bad restarts at Michigan this year that cost him the win.

Yeah I think Nascar cut Larson some slack after his burn out. He pretty much blew the rear quarter panels off the car so there is no way the car passes post race laser inspection. They had said they were going to be tough on those type of celebrations but being his first win I think he got the hall pass.

One guy who should have blown his quarter panels off post race was Brad Keselowski. Nascar fined him and Roger Penske each 10 championship points and his crewchief was fined $15,000 for failing post race laser inspection. It must have been a small infraction as most P2 penalties have been 15 pointers and $25,000 fines.

Updated Chase Standings with one to go before the Chase: 2-18-4-19-11-78-20-48-22-41-42-14-34-24-3-1. Some notes: Buescher is now 11 points ahead of David Ragan for the 30 position after a good run today. Jamie McMurray is only 7 points ahead of Ryan Newman for the final Chase spot but if someone in the top 30 who is winless gets the win in Richmond next week then both those guys are out.

Nascar news this morning. Kyle Larson and Ryan Newman's cars fail post race inspection at the laser station. This could be huge Chase implications for Newman who is 7 points out of a Chase spot. Penalties to be announced later this week.
