Mounting custom taillight. How many volts does engine put out?

What's going on?
I just picked up a near mint '05 Adrenaline 600HO & I'm not into the big bulky taillight so I'd like to put some custom lights on it to keep it clean. Being that my sled has no battery, does the engine put out 6 or 12 volts? Any & all help is greatly appreciated, Thank you!

Fire up your sled and check it with a voltmeter, that's the easiest way to do it.

I'm in Barrow. I can't wait to get down south, riding up here blows. For the most part its hard icy conditions & the terrain is so rough. -60 riding on what feels like concrete is not much fun. I'm looking forward to rediscovering my love for riding when I get the hell out of here.
