M 1000 clutch venting

Im doing a clutch side vent kit and was wondering if it beter to drill lots of small holes or a few larger holes behined the vent openings ?

fewer large holes will give you larger open surface area... if you haven`t already bought your kit ... I would go with the gill vents.

I went with 1.5inch holes and used a 9/16 bit in between to ensure maximum airflow but leave strength in the side panels then used 3/4inch holes with 9/16 in between on the clutch side tower vent, also used silicone on the backside of the modrod vents to ensure the best seal possible, no issues all season last year

thanks guys , i like the idea of sealing the backside of the vent .

Personally dis like the gill vents on the m series, seen lots of Ice built up in them on the clutch side, just my 2 cents tho
