from experience from riding my 105 sx, and a 150 and 250sx.. all KTM's are snappy as fahk.. however, the 250sx is noticeably torquier.. the 150's/144's still scream, both scared the crap out of me, but in comparison from riding a suzuki 250 and a ktm 250 the KTM felt like a bucking bronc was gonna buck me off any second.. crazy power.. its a beast... the one I rode I call the grim reaper cuz it has injured a few people...

I would try to talk to ktm 13-44 on here, he has both a 150 and 250 the ones i've ridden, and their both insane... i'd say yes that a 150 or 144 could keep up pretty good to the 250, but prob not once that 250 reaches top end speed lol.. I think you def need the weight factor with the 250, if your a smaller build i would highly recommend the 150.. and i'd say try to get the 150 as opposed to the 144 cuz of new technology n what not..

heck, i've been told that my 105 goes like a 125 on steroids..

ive riddin johnnys 144 and 250 sx and ive gota say the 144 is SOOO LIGHT! its easy to whip and stuff, the 250 sx is just a crazy slighly hevier version. you would be happy with both bakes.

I think that if your comparing a newer KTM 150sx, to an older KX 250 bone stock, i'd say you definitley have no problem keepin up or wipin it's azz.. but if your comparin a KTM 150 to KTM 250 similar year.. I dunno, might lose that race.. lol you would be surprised at how much jam those things have though.. I know I was.. and i've ridden 450's and didn't nearly scare me as much as the 150 did. My bf has an 04 RM 250 and lets just say KTM 13-44's 07 150 sx scared me more than my bfs suzuki....but i'm also a realy tiny girl but i'm just givin u my experience factor lol

Get a 250, it will scare the crap out of you for a little while and you will get the hang of it, you will out ride the 144 in a summer.
