What's everyone using to protect their knees and/or shins? My shins have taken a beating from my running boards a few times and I think its time to protect them. I use TLD hard shell pads on the dirt bike but they seem a bit bulky for sledding. so, what's everyone using/what works best?

I'm using FOX's Titan Race, they are super light I don't even notice I'm wearing them. So far I like them except the knee protection is a floating protection with no strap, it has two quick release straps around your leg. For $40 a guy can't go wrong.

I wear lizard skins mtb shin pads, also a rockgardn flak jacket body armour definitly helps you to be able to go back to work the day after a good wipeout

i have thor knee shin pad protection and i keep having the same issue, the knee rotates outward as you use your knees agains the tank so im constantly adjusting the knee. Still way better then nothing, just wish i could find something thats works and stays in place.

I use the same knee guards but wear them under the Helly Hansens, never have any issues with them turning. The long johns are starting to get a bit beat up though!

I wear fox titan knee/shin guards as well. Never have an issue with the knee turning on me, but i do know they wear down the snowpants pretty good :p But well worth it!

Thanks. I'm going to go try a pair of the TLD Shock Doctors on and see how they fit. Might also try out the lizard skins as I don't seem to have any issues with my knees, mostly the shins.
