$2500!!! holy crap thats a lot lol though i guess when shop rate is $100+ /hr it's probably a viable option the friggers.. thought factory powertrain was only 5yr/100,000 km ?? im worried about the little electrical things, like the one i am currently encountering.. other than parts the mechanical side of it can be taken care of at little to no cost.

but when i go back down to get it maybe ill pick up this gmpp thing and check it out

so got the truck back tonight.. it was ready monday but i was in vegas to celebrate my bday haha they changed the hvac module, underhood junction block and the fuse block. a fuse wasn't making connection so they changed the fuse block, which in turn made it work.. unfortunately i think my FAN motor is makin noises, and my panels rattling.. is it really that hard to pull and replace panels without breaking all the clips? the squeeks n rattles is gonna annoy the chit outta me.. they disassembled center console, right front lower kick panel and fuse panel. so i guess i have a few places to look for the noises. they also did a tranny reprogram update while it was there.

At least you got it fixed, these new gm's are absolute crap for interior panels, I havent been able to pull one thing without breaking at least one or two tabs, I've already had to plastic weld at least four different tabs back on.

didnt bring the truck back bc i picked it up after the service center was closed. no one to deal with. prob go back and see them fri about it. would like to figure out exactly what the prob is first thou. cause ya the truck def didnt have squeekin in the cab before that. and ya i broke a tab doinn my steps, glued it back together, but when buddy did my starter he broke it again. who knows how many are broke now after gm had it. shoulda left the truck outside i guess so i could hear the noise, think it may be only a cold start thing?

edited my post above about what the problems were. noticed one or two typo's in it as well. check er out. sounds like none of these problems were encountered before by amp or the tech support they contacted. no diag for the problem nor was the failed circuit in schematics.

Sounds like they were "guessing" at the problem and quicker for them to "throw parts" at it, than properly diagnose the problem......... Jus' sayin'
;) ........... Slomo on the site here is a master gm technician, and hope he can give you more insight into why they did what they did??

just from what i read sounds like someone was being lazy, unless i see the actual invoice i dont know, but with all the crap gm has going on they have to document and prove why they are replacing the module or they will test it and charge it back to the dealer if its fine.also no excuse for them breaking tabs and not testing it after GO BACK AND GET IT FIXED PROPERLY!!! just because it is warrenty does not mean they should hurl parts at it and half ass put it back together.every job should be treated like its your mothers!!!

thanks guys. the mechanical side of things im only half a$$ with so im glad to hear your thoughts. and ya they might of just thrown parts at it. i almost wonder if it was a newer guy working on it bc he requested additional tech lots and had to request more time to work on the truck about 5 times? its a 4page invoice but when i get back to work i can scan it into the computer if you're interested to see what they did and there reasons.

im gonna lv the truck out in the cold and see if it does it again, cause since i heard each set of noises once i havent heard them since. but i keep the truck in the garage to cut down on warm up time, where it was in an outdoor parkade at the dealer when i got it. forgot to lv it out last night, was tired when i got home.
