I was wondering if I should get gearing for Saskatchewan terrain if I like to drift banging, carving, and cat walking? I am new with the xm snowmobiles. And what I am looking at for price?

Get a hold of Deano670 on here he sells a clutch kit and gearing thats geared really tall you would probably be really happy with it in the flat land! And that way you will blow past your buddys with the same sleds

yes just ride it or change the gearing, unless you got money to burn. It will pull your arms off out off the box.

And get passed by every other brand out there.lol
2.68 ration in a 163 is crazy.
But works if you can't clutch it correctly.

I believe Deano and Roosterbuilt both switch to a 21t top gear in their clutch kits. I have one sitting on the shelf that will work so I will likely try it and report back how it works with stock clutching.

Honestly, I would run it for a bit and get the suspension dialed in before worrying bout re-gearing. The XM stands on her tail plenty fine out of the box.

21 or 23 makes way more sense and will not be near as hard on chain.
The 19 is very hard on chains.
