Looking at upgrading my track to a 2.5. I have a 2007 summit X800 (151inch track). But my question is what would I need to do to make a 154 by 2.5 fit under my 151. Could you make it fit without changing rails or would you need to change. Any input would help.

Thx.

I recommend getting 8 tooth drivers and replacing the rear bogey wheels with bigger ones, either xp stockers or aftermarket.

Funny, I just bought a 156x2.5 challenger extreme for my 07 xrs 151.

You do need 7 tooth drivers to run 2.5 lugs. I ordered the Avid CNC ones. I also need to extend my rails 2.5" to take up the slack (custom made rail extensions). For a 154 track, you can get away with just moving your skid back 1", or getting bigger wheels / offset axel

There's a very good thread on dootalk on this.. go there and look up "ttabs mod shop" in the mountain sled -rev section.
