Bruderheim Natural Area Possible Closure

Snow and Mud did a big clean-up there in our first year. ron hauled out 1500 Kg of junk we put up some nice signage reminding them about their garbage. 2 Weeks later was just about as bad as before. Bush parties people dumping junk and bad campers all add to the mess. SRD wanted Snow and Mud to run the area but responsibility of ALL issues was totally on Snow and Mud. Responsibilities such as liability for everthing that happens in that area. How can any group be willing to take care of that area with liability hanging over their head. Who would of paid for the fire if it was proven to be caused by one of our users? Not trying to be negative just REAL.

Agree doing some maintance and education maybe even some signage is about all any org can do. Assuming liablity over such an un-fenced/controled area by a group is way too much for anyone to do. Not negitive just reality

I understand the situation. However, this could all be minimized. Someone just needs to figure out a few stats how large of a population of riders live in Strathcona county alone, and the fact remains that when not allowed to run in the ditchways around the county they load up and many go to Bruderheim. Now think of Cattle in the same county, what would things look like if you shipped them all to Bruderheim, a mess for sure no matter what clean up you would try. Any time you cram areas the results are the same.
