wow, blue bird sky's and fresh snow........oops, fresh snow was ALL melted, and most of the snowpack too.... over 2 ft melted in one week, last weeks epic fresh snow July ride was only a memory... but ALL the snow didn't melt and the north bowls were still great, even KRAZIER, the chutes we climbed in the very firm Aug snowpack were awesome... Tandy. Hoodicoff, AMY, Brad, Justin and myself had a blast, Darrin and Casey, well, not as much fun as us... If we can get a blast of winter this sept, I might get to ride all 12 months this 2011 yr....

Krazy Canadian Adventures 4 is done and ready to go to duplication, but now we got another 90 mins of footage to go thru and complete one last segment,,, still planning to have copies for sale Aug 19 at the Prince George KCA Pure Adrenaline party.

Haha, there was more grass and mud than snow to ride. Nice and meadowy though, real easy on the sleds. We splashed around in the lake to clean them off at the end of the day. Parked right at the edge of the bowl, the road went right to it. We had to shovel out one part of the road to get the trucks through.

Ok i have a totally off the topic question, Im am not trying to start anything but just curious. last year there was a topic about quading in the fragile alpine enviroment in the mcbride area, and how it was not allowed, is this implemented in this area? if so how come the sleds are allowed to travel across this apline enviroment with no snow cover? and then wash your sleds off in the lake? just wondering if quadding is allowed in this area?

Yes, quads are allowed, although they probably stick to the roads. We drove right to the snowline, so we didn't actually have to drive our sleds off road at all to get to the snow.

Can't remember the exact site but quadding on alpine is allowed for now, just can't be tearing up the grass. A quad leaves a pretty small footprint when it's not driven agressively. : ) And like Amy said, there's mining roads that go right into the alpine. If the greenies complain about us quadding/sledding on it then why are the mining companies allowed to carve the roads through like they do?

Industrial rules are way different than the rules imposed on recreation. Not sayin' it's right....but that's just the way it is. The sleds crossing the water could concievably be fined under the new environmental degradation legislation that came in last year. Also under the water protection act, although that's usually only applied on fish bearing waters. Sure looks like fun to me, but the tree huggers maybe not so much. :nono:

It definitely was not on any fish bearing water LOL... More like a puddle on the side of the road. We all have respect for nature and the right to ride on Crown land. There was a conservationist up there as well as some greenies having a picnic... Or maybe they were the picnic for the horseflies ;) Anyway, they were all entertained.
