anyone try kurts gear down on a 155 x2.6?

Get a kit with a tensioner as this is key to best success of a belt drive system. The tension of the belt is NOT the most important achievement with the tensioner, the fact that the belt wraps 3/4 or more around the top gear is. This allows the belt to run fairly loose and not slip or skip and the forces are shared among many more teeth.

Gearing down and clutching does make the clutch belt last at least double or even 3 times longer, in my experience.
