Shane was an icon in the ski world. He is to skiing how gretzky is to hockey. Every thing I ever watched or read about the guy, always inspired me to live life to the fullest and do the things you love and to always try new things. He is and always will be one of my heroes and I will miss him very much. One of my all time dreams was to ski a line with him, but now I guess I will have to wait to ski that big line with him in the sky.

RIP Shane`,
he was one of the sickest backcountry skiers to date,, he was base jumping with skis and one of his skis did not come off and he was spining out of control and could not pull his chute....

One of my favorite things McConkey said about using fat skis, was at first fat skis were gay then he brought them to the big mountain areas and now turning is for when things are in your way." The dude was one of the first to ski big mountain lines faster and huck off knarlier cliffs than anyone before him. It feels like Superman died when I think about his passing.

Yeah I think it is still Jamie Pierre, but that might have been broken last year though. The crazy thing about Jamies jump was that he did it not wearing a helmet. Heres the link to his drop.
