2016 Pro Climb Grab Bar

Is there an easy way to remove the grab bar, I never use it. Can I just cut it off ? Is it solid rubber ? I don't want to strip the bars if I don't have to take it off. This is my first cat so I have lots to learn.

Yes can easily be cut off! Little bit of heat and a knife and it's off
